In researching Internet search traffic before my first post … I found this Fascinating Fact:
289.32 times a day someone searches the Internet for the term “Leadership Styles”
“What is Leadership” - 107.32 times a day
“Training Leadership” - 160 times a day
“Leadership Qualities” - 101
“Leadership Development” 229
and last, but certainly not least, “Leadership” 1591 times a day.
What are all these searchers looking for?
I think it all goes down to the experience of being in charge of a team of people and not having been taught how to do a good job. This fear/conundrum is very closely related to the fear of public speaking. “What do I do now … how do I avoid making a fool of myself?” is the question perhaps running through your mind as you stand at the front of the room in your first team meeting.
That’s why Peg and Shelley and I created this blog … to help you find the information, the tools and skills you need to become a Confident and Effective Team Leader … in any area of your life where your leadership can make a difference.
Our intention is to give you a hub of resources, information and community focused on building environments of trust and respect that change the world one meeting and one team at a time.
Enjoy!!
