Celebrate ALL Wins with your Team

Being rewarded for doing a good job is a critical component of
successful teams. In the book, “First Break All the Rules” the
Gallup Organization found that members of the highest performing
teams are congratulated by their manager at least once a week.

How often do you reward the accomplishments of your team?

Here is a way to remember to celebrate.

IF ITS WORTH MEASURING
ITS WORTH CELEBRATING

So often we see people working long hard hours to meet what are
called “Routine” job requirements. These are activities we
usually measure just to be able to check them off as completed.
We don’t usually acknowledge completing these tasks as a job well
done.

If you want a top performing team we suggest you
CELEBRATE ALL WINS

If you measure it and your people meet the standard - no matter
how mundane it might be …
- Pat them on the back
- Congratulate them out loud at the next team meeting
- Buy them a cup of coffee and thank them in private
- Tell them you appreciate their attention to the “little things”

 
Action Step:

- What do you measure with your team that you do not currently
celebrate? (hint; you can start with attendance, “Thanks  for
being  here!”)
- How might you congratulate people for reaching even these goals?

 

 

Now go do it … and watch the positive changes with our team. Their enthusiasm and performance
will pick up and you will feel better as a leader when you Celebrate ALL Wins … we guarantee it.
